The following feels insufficient, yet I want to make it explicit that I oppose Trump and his policies including the following:

• I oppose and detest the imperialism exemplified by the attempt to acquire Greenland. It feels like Putin’s invasion of Ukraine: greedy and spectacularly stupid. Hopefully Europe will use this as an opportunity to grow a stronger voice.
• I detest tariffs as a means to fund government. The sixteenth amendment and related legislation enabled progressive income taxes explicitly to move away from the regressive nature of tariffs.
• I oppose the defunding and other gutting of science programs that the Trump administration has done.
• I oppose the non-professional and overly aggressive use of force by ICE.
• I oppose the erratic and capricious treatment of Ukraine. I oppose canceling military aid for Ukraine.
• I oppose the dictatorial and grandiose language Trump uses. I want a leader with a modicum of common sense and kindness.
